The client faced difficulties in maintaining application stability and performance while migrating to a new production environment. They needed a robust performance engineering strategy to prevent downtime, optimize testing efforts, and create a scalable, future-proof system.

We began by setting a performance baseline to ensure a smooth migration with no unexpected issues. Our team implemented real-world production testing, using a risk-sensitive approach to evaluate performance under actual usage conditions. By analyzing over 250 API endpoints, we developed workload models that accurately mapped real-world user behavior. To improve efficiency, we automated performance testing by integrating Blazemeter with CircleCI. This significantly reduced manual effort and streamlined the testing process. We also developed environment-independent and reusable Blazemeter scripts, ensuring sustainability for future performance tests. To further optimize operations, we designed a result analysis template, which expedited reporting and facilitated quicker decision-making.

Our efforts resulted in a 99.99% application availability, ensuring high reliability and uptime. By utilizing reusable components and automated testing, we achieved a 23% reduction in effort per person per month. Automation improved testing accuracy and efficiency, while proactive risk management helped identify and mitigate performance risks before they could impact real users.
